Melissa & Doug is a leading children’s toy brand recognized for its commitment to screen free, open ended play. As the organization grew, leadership needed a more structured and scalable way to manage an expanding portfolio of strategic initiatives, without the cost and complexity of a traditional enterprise PMO environment.
The Challenge
As Melissa & Doug scaled, the organization faced increasing complexity across its portfolio of strategic initiatives. Leadership lacked a consistent way to monitor project health across functions, compare priorities, and make informed decisions about funding and resources.
Project teams were using different methods to manage work and report status, making it difficult to maintain consistency, identify risks early, and keep leadership aligned.
